Two criminals held in Delhi
September 23rd, 2011 - 1:20 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Sep 22 (IANS) Two people wanted by Bihar and Jharkhand police in several cases of extortion, murder and attempt to murder were arrested here, police said Thursday.
Prabhanjan Singh and his associate Prabhat Kumar, both aged 26, were arrested Wednesday night when they were going to Vikaspuri in west Delhi.
Singh, who carries a cash reward of Rs.25,000 by Bihar police, fired from an imported pistol and Kumar from a country made weapon when confronted by the police.
Police retaliated and overpowered them, said Additional Commissioner of Police V. Renganathan.
They had planned to kidnap the child of a big businessman of Delhi for ransom, police said.
