Two convicts on parole held for threatening woman
May 13th, 2010 - 11:33 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, May 13 (IANS) Two life convicts out on parole were arrested for threatening a woman and her son at gunpoint in Mongolpuri area in north-west Delhi, police said Thursday.
Sant Ram, 30, and Hem Chand, 33, serving life sentences in the Kunjum Buddhiraja murder case, were arrested late Wednesday.
During the investigation, the duo told police they robbed people as they do not have any means of livelihood.
An illegally made pistol and a knife were recovered from them.
The two were out on a month’s parole from April 20. The two were implicated for the murder of Budhiraja in 1999. Budhiraja was the consort of criminal Romesh Sharma.
