Two Class 12 girls commit suicide
June 11th, 2011 - 8:20 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, June 11 (IANS) Two Class 12 girl students committed suicide in Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi after they failed in exams, police said Saturday.
Madhavi (name changed) committed suicide Saturday by hanging herself from a ceiling fan and Reema (name changed) consumed poison Friday. Both were students of the Marwari College here, police said.
The exam results were declared Friday. Around 42.3 percent students passed the examination.
In the science stream, only 28 percent students managed to clear the exam. In the commerce and arts streams, the pass percentage was 42.44 and 52.66 respectively.
