Two children killed in wall collapse (Lead)
January 12th, 2011 - 1:11 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Jan 11 (IANS) Two children were killed and three others were critically injured Tuesday when a wall collapsed on them while they were playing in north Delhi’s Meet Nagar area, a fire brigade official said.”At around 1.45 p.m., we received the call that four kids who were playing in a street outside their homes were stuck under the debris of a collapsed wall. We rushed two fire tenders,” the official said.
Locals had taken the children to the nearby Guru Tegh Bahadur hospital before fire officials reached the spot.
Himanshi, two-and-a-half years old, was declared dead by doctors while Munni, 4, died during treatment. Khushboo, 10, Uma and Priya, 7, sustained critical injuries.
