Two brothers hacked to death by sibling
January 28th, 2011 - 1:04 am ICT by IANSRohtak (Haryana), Jan 27 (IANS) A dispute over ancestral property Thursday claimed the lives of two brothers who were hacked to death by their elder sibling and his son in this Haryana district, police said.Police have registered a case of murder against father-son duo Karamveer and Sunil, who are both absconding after the incident in Giravar village.
The victims, Baljeet and Rajbir, were the younger brothers of Karamveer. The victims were tending to their agricultural fields when Karamveer and Sunil came and an argument over some ancestral property ensued between both sides.
This later turned violent and both victims were attacked with sharp-edged weapons. The father-son duo fled from the spot after the attack.
Other villagers, who heard screams of the victims, rushed to their aid. However, both brothers died before reaching the hospital in Rohtak, 280 km from Chandigarh,
