Two arrested with heroin in Maharashtra town
January 1st, 2011 - 7:05 pm ICT by IANSKolhapur (Maharashtra), Jan 1 (IANS) Two people were arrested in early Saturday in this Maharashtra town and heroin worth Rs.1 crore was seized from them, police said.”Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted two men going on a motorcycle and seized around 500 gm of heroin worth Rs 1 crore,” a Kolhapur police official said.
The two men, identified as Ravindra Yadav and Amar Mane, both around 25 years, were brought before a local court and are in police custody.
Kolhapur is around 400 km from Mumbai.
