Two arrested with firearm at airport
August 3rd, 2011 - 11:56 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Aug 3 (IANS) The Delhi Police Wednesday arrested two young men for trying to sneak in through the airport security with a .12 bore firearm in their hand baggage, an official said.
Raees Ahmed, 25 and Abdul Sattar, 27 were supposed to fly to Mumbai on a SpiceJet flight but were caught by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which is in charge of securing the premises, and handed over to Delhi Police.
“They were apprehended at the 1D domestic terminal with a .12 bore katta and two rounds of live cartridges,” said an official.
Ahmed hails from Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh while Sattar is from north Dinajpur, West Bengal, said an official.
