Two arrested with fake currency
December 21st, 2010 - 11:59 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, Dec 21 (IANS) Two men were arrested here with counterfeit currency worth Rs.10 lakh, a police officer said Tuesday.”We had received a tip off that two men from Bangladesh entered India via Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh) and that they possessed fake currency,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (anti-terrorism squad) Pradeep Sawant told reporters.
The two were identified as Nadeem Ahmed Kabir Ahmed Rangrez and Arif Ahmed Sharif Ahmed Rangrez, both 35 years old.
They were arrested Monday afternoon and have been remanded to police custody till Dec 28, Sawant said.
