Two arrested for murder of restaurant manager
October 22nd, 2010 - 10:10 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 22 (IANS) Delhi Police Friday arrested two people for the murder last month of an assistant manager of a south Delhi restaurant.
“Acting on basis of information, we nabbed Rajesh (30) and Chandan Kumar Singh (25), who was a computer graduate, from near Jor Bagh Metro Station for their involvement in the murder of Kajal Chatterjee (26), assistant manager of ‘Joy Luck Moon’ in Saket Sep 26,” said a senior police official.
The duo, working as security guards in Dwarka, confessed to taking Chatterjee to Mehrauli at gun-point, robbing him of his money and valuables, shooting him and fleeing from the spot.
One of the arrested, Rajesh, was behind bars for seven years for murdering an elderly woman. Police are looking for two others believed to be involved in the crime.
