Kolkata, Oct 28 (IANS) England’s stand-in Twenty20 skipper Graeme Swann said Friday the one-off match in the game’s shortest version provides a chance to his side to salvage some pride after the 0-5 drubbing against India in the just-concluded ODI series.

Swann said all the players in the team had a positive attitude and were in high spirits.

“Everyone is positive, we are looking forward to it. We have a very resilient England squad. It’s a chance to salvage some pride,” Swann told mediapersons in the match-eve media meet.

Swann, who is standing in for injured regular captain Stuart Broad, said the match Saturday would be a duel between two top twenty20 sides who have both annexed the Twenty20 World Cup.

Swann said he was looking forward to leading the side again after having captained the team in a two-match series September. “I am looking forward to captain again. It’s been good fun.”

Swann said the match has provide him with an opportunity to hone his skills as captain.

He called for more Twenty20 matches during a trip.

“We don’t play enough of twenty20 internationals in a tour. I would look forward to the time when every tour would have at least a three-match Twenty20 series,” he said.
