Truck crushes Gurgaon student
June 24th, 2010 - 1:17 am ICT by IANSGurgaon, June 23 (IANS) An engineering student was killed and her friend was injured when a truck hit their two-wheeler in Gurgaon Wednesday, police said.
“Anita and Ashish were studying in ATM Engineering College in Palam Vihar. They were returning from college on a two-wheeler when a truck hit their vehicle,” a police officer said.
Both came under the rear wheel of the truck. Anita died due to excessive bleeding after the accident, which took place around 4 p.m., and Ashish was admitted to hospital with injuries.
“The truck belonged to the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon and the driver is absconding. Ashish was driving the two-wheeler when the accident occured in Palam Vihar,” the official added.
