Tricolour look for new PIB website
August 20th, 2010 - 9:39 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Aug 20 (IANS) Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting C.M. Jatua Friday launched the newly-designed website of the government of India www.pib.nic.in.
Donning the colours of the national flag, the new website will enable users access information promptly, an official statement said.
It has new tools for providing “quick access to information and user-friendly search” methods, a senior official said at the launch function.
The new website has realeases in Urdu, besides those in English and Hindi on the home page. An SMS alert system has been also introduced for correspondents covering specific beats, the statement said.
