Trader shot dead in Chhattisgarh
December 25th, 2009 - 7:37 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Raipur, Dec 25 (IANS) Unidentified gunmen shot dead a trader and injured his relative in a broad daylight attack Friday in this Chhattisgarh capital, police said.
“Two unidentified men entered into the office of Amar Ahuja in Pandri cloth market today (Friday) afternoon and shot at him point blank range,” Raipur Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar said.
The victim worked as financier. His relative Manish Ahuja who was also shot at is struggling for life, police said.
The market was closed soon after the incident.
“We have given ultimatum of 24 hours to the police to nab the accused otherwise the traders will observe a ‘bandh’ (shutdown) on Saturday,” Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce President Sreechand Sunderani said.
