Trader beaten to death for money in Delhi

New Delhi, May 3 (IANS) A 45-year-old man was beaten to death by another person following a dispute over money in south Delhi, police said.
Laxman, a grocer, had an altercation with Inderjeet about money Saturday afternoon at the latter’s home in Mehrauli. Inderjeet then allegedly beat him up and threw him outside his home.

“The victim was drinking with Inderjeet at his house when they had an argument over money. Inderjeet beat him up after a heated argument and threw him outside his house in an injured condition,” the police said.

The deceased was first rushed to a nearby hospital from where he was shifted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) where doctors declared him dead.

“We have arrested Inderjeet and are interrogating him in this matter,” a police officer said.
