Toy fair ends with distribution of toys to orphans
July 4th, 2011 - 8:19 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, July 4 (IANS) The fifth toy international expo came to an end here Monday with distribution of gifts and toys to children of an orphanage.
According to Shivam Chhabra of the Toy Association Of India, NGOs and orphanages like the Mother Teresa Orphanage supported the cause of the exhibition because it promoted green toys which are eco-friendly.
“The exhibition was supported by NGOs and the Mother Teresa Orphanage because the objective of exhibition was to promote green toys which are eco-friendly and are safe for children,” Chhabra said.
“The exhibition came to an end with a truck full of toys being distributed to the children of the orphanage,” he added.
The exhibition which began July 2 had participants from Britain, Spain, Germany and South America besides India.
