Top Chhattisgarh health official on the run
December 4th, 2009 - 7:57 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Raipur, Dec 4 (IANS) The director of health services in Chhattisgarh is on the run since Nov 7 after his name allegedly figured in a scam.
Police are looking for Pramod Singh after his anticipatory bail was rejected twice by a local court here.
He is accused of involvement in a case related to purchase of costly medical equipments such as colour Doppler machine for the government in 2004-06 by favouring a private company.
Sources say the state government is also mulling disciplinary action against Singh for failing to appear before police to help them probe the case.
Police last month arrested B.S. Sarwa, a former director of health services, for his alleged involvement in the case.
