Tom Kenny Writes SpongeBob’s Official Songs

clipboard014Nov. 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) With SpongeBob celebrating its 10th anniversary it is widely expected that the voiceover behind SpongeBob will be in the news once more. Tom Kenny, who has provided his voice to SpongeBob Squarepants is being searched by the netizens worldwide with the SpongeBob song “Don’t Be a Jerk (It’s Christmas)” releasing. The song is said to be SpongeBob’s first official holiday song and has been written by Kenny along with Andy Paley. The song has been released along with other songs in form an album that has been co-written by Tom Kenny.

The album named “SpongeBob’s Greatest Hits” includes other songs like “My Tighty Whiteys”, “Employee of the Month”, “The Best Day Ever” and last but definitely not the least “Where’s Gary”. The album has been produced by Paley who is also SpongeBob & the Hi-Seas’ (rock band that plays live and has Kenny playing in the forefront) musical director.

Tom Kenny voiced his motivation behind the song and said, “It’s a plea for a minimal diminishment of jerk-oriented attitude for a mere 24-hour period; in other words, ‘Don’t Be A Jerk (It’s Christmas)’. Kenny has given his voice for the SpongeBob’s TV series and the movies too. He has also voiced Gary (the french narrator) and has starred in “The Edge” along with being the cast member of ‘Mr. Show’. The annual kid’s Choice Awards has its narrator in the form of Kenny, who awarded himself the World’s Best Narrator Award in 2005.
