To study security, minister goes to Britain
September 18th, 2011 - 4:56 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, Sep 18 (IANS) Maharashtra Home Minister R.R. Patil and a high-level delegation left for Britain Sunday to study security systems in London and other places.
During his fives there, Patil will study the sophisticated CCTV and other systems to monitor security. He is also likely to interact with police and security experts.
Patil is accompanied by Minister of State for Home Satej Patil, Additional Chief Secretary Home U.C. Sarangi, Mumbai Police Commissioner Arup Patnak, Joint Commissioner V. Agarwal and other officials.
On July 13, triple blasts in Mumbai killed 27 people and injured 125. Terrorists have repeatedly targeted Mumbai.
