Tis Hazari typist arrested for fraud
May 13th, 2011 - 1:40 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, May 13 (IANS) A typist working at the Tis Hazari district courts has been arrested for allegedly using the seal of a notary public for attesting documents, police said Thursday.
The accused has been identified as Mohommad Salim (58).
Delhi Police crime branch also recovered five blank stamp papers, 20 rubber stamps pertaining to notary public and an oath commissioner document from his possession.
He was arrested from Tis Hazari courts while he was found attesting a document using the seal of a notary public in a fraudulent manner, police said.
“The accused was not authorized to keep these stamps. In order to earn quick money he took the way to crime and started using the attesting seals,” police added.
