Ghaziabad, Nov 26 (IANS) Three waiters at a marriage ceremony were found dead in mysterious circumstances here Wednesday night, police said Thursday. The catering contractor and banquet hall manager have been detained for questioning.
According to police, three youths were employed by catering contractor Sanjeev alias Bawa, who sent them to the marriage party at Utsav Mandap in Vijay Nagar Wednesday night.

They were found lying in an unconscious state in the open just outside the banquet hall after midnight. According to sources, the three were foaming at the mouth, giving rise to suspicion that they had been poisoned.

The three were taken to a local hospital where doctors declared them dead. Two of them were identified as Vijay Nagar resident Sanjay Singh, 30, and Makanpur resident Prem Kumar, 28. The third is still to be identified.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Akhil Kumar and Superintendent of Police (City) Rahul Yaduvendu reached the spot after incident.

“We have detained the catering contractor and banquet hall manager Rakesh for questioning,” Yaduvendu said.
