Three troopers killed in Orissa landmine blast
November 13th, 2009 - 12:16 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Bhubaneswar, Nov 13 (IANS) At least three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed Friday after Maoists blew up their vehicle in Orissa’s Malkangiri district, police said.
The vehicle carrying the personnel was returning to the Malkangiri district headquarters, about 600 km from here, from a village after doing some official duty, Deputy Inspector General of Police Sanjeeb Panda told IANS.
Maoist guerrillas blasted the vehicle using a land mine in a forested area at 8 a.m., about eight km from the Kalimela police station, Panda said.
