Three students killed in Uttar Pradesh accident
December 12th, 2010 - 5:18 pm ICT by IANSAgra, Dec 12 (IANS) Three students were killed when a car carrying them from Mathura to Agra in Uttar Pradesh banged into a tanker early Sunday, police said.The accident took place on the Mathura bypass in the wee hours. The car had eight passengers - seven students from the Sainath College in Sikandra, Agra, and the driver.
Four students and the driver were injured and have been admitted to a private nursing home in Agra.
The students, who had gone to Mathura on work, took a lift in the car and the driver appears to have gone to sleep when the accident occurred, police said.
Mathura and Agra are nearly 60 km apart.
