Three students among four killed in accident
April 17th, 2010 - 9:05 pm ICT by IANSBhubaneswar, April 17 (IANS) Four people, including three students on their way to give an entrance examination, were killed in a road accident in Orissa’s Sundergarh district Saturday, police said.
The vehicle carrying the school students to the examination centre in Rajgangpur, collided head-on with a speeding truck at Badgaon crossing in the district, more than 500 km from here.
“These students were from Jharkhand and they were going to attend the Navodaya Vidyalaya entrance examination when the accident happened,” a police officer said.
Apart from the students, the driver was also killed and 13 others injured.
The injured were taken to a nearby hospital. Four of them were in a serious conditions and have been shifted to Rourkela hospital.
