Three stampede survivor kids united with their parents

Naina Devi (Himachal Pradesh), Aug 5 (IANS) Three children who survived Sunday’s stampede in which at least 145 devotees were killed at the Naina Devi temple in Himachal Pradesh, were Tuesday united with their parents, a police official said. One of the children was identified as Neha, 3, from Haryana’s Fatehabad town.

The other children were from Patiala and Sangrur towns in Punjab, the official said.

The children were taken care of by the Naina Devi Trust till their parents took their custody.

At least 145 people were killed and several injured in Sunday’s stampede at the hill shrine of Naina Devi when throngs of devotees panicked after a rumour that boulders were rolling down the popular hilltop shrine.
