Three of Orissa family killed on suspicion of ‘witchcraft’
December 10th, 2009 - 7:43 pm ICT by IANSBhubaneswar, Dec 10 (IANS) Three members of a family were killed in Keonjhar district of Orissa on suspicion of practising witchcraft, police said Thursday.
“Three members of a family were killed today (Thursday) morning in Luhakala village. As per our information, Sapan Bhuyan, his wife and son were killed by Suka Palei of the same village,” Dhruba Charan Puhan, a police officer, said.
The killer accused the family of practising witchcraft, he said.
The accused is absconding after committing the killings, the official said. Keonjhar is 230 km from here.
