Zaheed Beg (50), his wife Noorjahan (46), and his brother Nazeer (45) were found murdered late Thursday in their house at the Mishrikh locality of Sitapur.
“It appears the three died after being repeatedly attacked with some sharp-edged weapons. At present, we have no clues about the assailants,” police inspector Prabal Pratap Singh told reporters in Sitapur, about 80 km from here.
“Though we are yet to ascertain the motive behind the crime, preliminary investigations reveal Beg had a land dispute with some locals,” he added.
