Three new judges join Delhi High Court
October 17th, 2011 - 8:07 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 17 (IANS) Three new judges took oath of office in the Delhi High Court Monday even as the executive committee of the Delhi High Court Bar Association opposed the appointment of one of them.
Acting Chief Justice A.K. Sikri administered the oath to Justice R.V. Easwar, Justice Pratibha Rani and Justice Sat Paul Garg.
Opposing Justice Easwar’s appointment, DHCBA secretary D.K. Sharma said: “We opposed his elevation to this court earlier also. Therefore, today we all boycotted the oath function. Our plea (on the issue) is pending before the Supreme Court.”
