Three mowed down by train in Orissa
March 5th, 2010 - 7:41 pm ICT by IANSBhubaneswar, March 5 (IANS) Three people, including two women, were mowed down by a speeding train Friday at Markona railway station in Balasore district of Orissa, police said.
The deceased have been identified as Sashikant Behera, Shantilata Behera and Mamina from nearby Mohammadpur village.
The railway police have seized the bodies and began an investigation into the incident.
“We were alerted by the villagers that three dismembered bodies are lying on the track. We have seized a bike in which they were travelling near the track,” said police officer Krupasindhu Biswal.
