Three Maoists arrested in Bengal
January 2nd, 2011 - 5:17 pm ICT by IANSKolkata, Jan 2 (IANS) Three Maoists were arrested from West Bengal’s West Midnapore district Sunday, police said.”We arrested the three today (Sunday) from Lakxmanpur area of the district,” said Manoj Verma, superintendent of police, West Midnapore.
Acting on a tip-off, the security forces raided the village and arrested Mangal Mahato, Gopal Mahato and Jagadish Mahato.
Maoists are mainly active in three western districts of the state - Purulia, West Midnapore and Bankura.
