Three killed in West Bengal road accident

- Kolkata, Nov 8 (IANS) Three people were killed and 13 others injured when a truck hit a bus in West Bengal’s Birbhum district Saturday, police said.The incident took place around 12.30 p.m. on National Highway-7 near Lohapur town in Birbhum district.
“A truck lost control and hit a private bus carrying about 30 passengers near Lohapur. The truck driver and the helper died on the spot along with an unidentified pedestrian, who was overrun by the vehicle. At least 13 bus passengers were injured,” said an official at Lohapur police station.
The bus was going to the Kali temple at Tarapith in the nearby Rampurhat town when the apple-laden truck hit the vehicle.
