Three killed in accident in Greater Noida
March 8th, 2009 - 9:46 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Greater Noida, March 8 (IANS) Three youths, related to each other, were crushed under the wheels of a mini-truck here Sunday, the police said.
The accident occurred Sunday noon near Badhpura Bridge on GT road in Dadri, the police said.
The three victims were identified as Fazloo, 10, and his cousins Kasim, 16, and Mohsin, 20.
After the accident, the police tried to take the bodies to the police station, but a mob which gathered took over the vehicle and took it to the GT Road where the victims’ relatives live.
The mob demanded compensation for the families of the victims and created a traffic jam for three hours. The situation was brought under control when the circle officer Trigun Vishen assured the mob that their demand would be taken into consideration, the police said.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. The driver of the mini-truck has been arrested and a case of negligent driving registered against him and the vehicle has been seized, the police said.
