New Delhi, Aug 31(IANS) Three people were killed and 11 were injured in separate accidents in the national capital, the police said Sunday.The police said 11 people, including three women, were injured Sunday when the minibus they were travelling in overturned in Bawana area of northwest Delhi.
“The minibus plying between Auchandi to Sindhu border was racing with another bus when the driver lost control and his vehicle overturned,” said a police officer.
“The 11 injured were taken to a hospital, from where they were discharged after their treatment,” the police officer said.
The minibus driver ran away from the spot. “A hunt has been launched to nab the driver. The vehicle has been impounded,” the police officer added.
In another accident, a 26-year-old man died after his motorcycle skidded off the road in Paschim Vihar area of west Delhi Sunday.
According to the police, the accident took place around 3.30 a.m when Gyanendra was returning home in Mukherjee Nagar.
“He was taken to Jaipur Golden Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries,” a police officer said. He was unmarried and was working with a private company in Paschim Vihar area.
In another accident, Sanjay, 41, died after his van collided with a truck in Patel Nagar area of west Delhi.
“Sanjay was driving his van when he rammed into a standing truck near Shadipur flyover. He suffered critical injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead,” the police officer said.
In yet another case in Patel Nagar area, an unidentified man was crushed to death by an unidentified vehicle.
“The man seemed to be in his sixties and was found in an injured condition Sunday morning. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead,” the police added.
