Three held with counterfeit currency of Rs.70,000
December 14th, 2009 - 5:33 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )New Delhi, Dec 14 (IANS) Police here have arrested three men for running a unit counterfeiting currency notes in the capital and seized fake currency of Rs.70,000 from them.
A team of Delhi Police Special Cell arrested the three men Sunday from Jhilmil in east Delhi for making and circulating counterfeit currency notes, a police officer said.
“The arrests were made following some specific information about the gang. The gang was operating in the capital for quite some time,” the officer said.
Delhi Police conducted a raid at the unit and seized computer, paper, ink and other materials used for printing fake currency.
