Three held for kidnapping girl
January 25th, 2011 - 8:08 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Jan 25 (IANS) Three men, including two BPO drivers, have been arrested for kidnapping a teenaged girl, whom they threw off from their vehicle on seeing police pickets, police said here Tuesday.The three accused - Santosh Kumar, Kasim and Titu - were nabbed Monday night, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) V. Renganathan said.
“They allegedly kidnapped a minor girl from her house Sunday night after bashing up her father at Kirti Nagar in West Delhi on Sunday,” said Renganathan.
After the police received a complaint of kidnapping, all police pickets were immediately informed. The abductors panicked when they saw police pickets on the way so they threw off the girl and fled. The girl was found near ESI Hospital at Kirti Nagar.
After a tip-off on Monday night, the kidnappers were apprehended at Mayapuri Chowk near the railway line while they were trying to escape from the city.
