Three held for betting on Games
October 10th, 2010 - 9:30 pm ICT by IANSGhaziabad, Oct 10 (IANS) Three bookies involved in betting on the Commonwealth Games were arrested here Sunday, police said.
Gang leader Yogesh Kumar Gupta and Ravi Kumar, both residents of Muzaffarnagar, and Rahul, of Meerut, were arrested from Aditya Mega City, police said.
Acting on a tip, police raided a residential complex where the three men ran the betting racket. A total of Rs.46,500 and several cheques were seized.
Laptops, memory sticks, data cards, some documents and seven mobile phones were also found, said police inspector Rajesh Dwivedi.
