Three escape in Uttar Pradesh jail break
October 28th, 2011 - 11:45 pm ICT by IANSLucknow, Oct 28 (IANS) Three undertrials Friday escaped from an Uttar Pradesh jail in Bhadohi district after scaling its wall, police said.
Raju, Nanhe and Amawas fled from the district jail Gyanpur, some 275 km from here, after breaking the railing of their barrack, according to a statement issued by the office of the Director General Of Police.
“We have prepared a list of the people who met the prisoners recently. All such people will be interrogated to ascertain the whereabouts of the prisoners,” said Superintendent of Police Gyaneshwar Tiwari.
At least five jail officials could be suspended for laxity, said sources.
