Three drown, one missing in Maharashtra
December 5th, 2010 - 8:19 pm ICT by IANSOsmanabad (Maharashtra), Dec 5 (IANS) Three people drowned and one was missing as a boat carrying 12 passengers capsized in Maharashtra’s Osmanabad district Sunday, police said. The others have been rescued.
The accident occurred in a river near Muramu village.
“We have rescued eight others and found the bodies of three people from the river. We are yet to find another passenger,” the police official said. in the
“We are in the process of identifying the victims. Those rescued have been sent home after basic treatment,” he added.
Osmanabad in southern Maharashtra is around 450 km from Mumbai.
