Three die in separate accidents

New Delhi , July 2 (IANS) Three people, including a six-year-old girl, have been killed in separate accidents in the national capital, the police said Wednesday. The girl, Swati, a resident of Ghazipur in east Delhi, was crossing a road with her father when a speeding car hit them. She died instantly while her father suffered multiple injuries, a police official said.

The car driver escaped. The victim’s father supplied milk in the area.

In another apparent accident, the mangled body of a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) trooper was found near a traffic signal in Mandawali area, also in east Delhi, Wednesday morning.

According to the police, Jagman Pratap (38) served in the 5th battalion of CISF. He hailed from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh. Police believe he was a victim of a hit-and-run accident.

Similarly, the body of a 40-year-old man, Lakhan Singh, was found in Paschim Vihar in west Delhi Tuesday night. “Injuries marks on his body suggest he was crushed by some vehicle,” a police official said.
