Three cricket bookies held
July 4th, 2011 - 8:10 pm ICT by IANSChandigarh, July 4 (IANS) Three people were arrested from Haryana’s Sirsa town for running a cricket betting racket, police said Monday.
Vikas, Mohan and Shekhar, all belonging to Sirsa town, were arrested Sunday night from a house near the Sirsa railway station. They were found taking bets on a One-Day International match between England and Sri Lanka, a police spokesman said here.
“Mobile sets, other equipment and cash were recovered,” he added.
