Three cops killed as truck rams into police station
June 16th, 2012 - 7:10 pm ICT by IANSLucknow, June 16 (IANS) Three policemen were killed and one was critically injured when a speeding truck ploughed into a police station early Saturday in Baghpat district, about 500 km from here.
According to police, the accident took place at the Badhal police station around 2:30 a.m. when the truck driver lost control over the vehicle and rammed into the police station building.
Three constables were killed and one sub-inspector was injured in the mishap, Superintendent of Police V.K. Shekhar told IANS.
The injured sub-inspector has been admitted to a hospital, where his condition was stated to be critical.
