Three convicted for killing shoe baron
September 17th, 2011 - 9:30 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, Sep 17 (IANS) A Jamshedpur court Saturday convicted three people for killing Ashish Dey, owner of footwear brand Sreeleathers four years ago.
Additional District Judge Pankaj Kumar convicted Jitendra Singh, Amlesh Singh and Vinod Singh. The quantum of sentence will be pronounced Monday.
Two other accused, Akhilesh Singh and Bikram Singh, are still absconding.
Dey was killed in 2007 while he was going to office in steel city Jamshedpur. Land dispute is said to be the reason behind the murder.
