Three contract killers arrested in Raipur
September 3rd, 2010 - 1:13 pm ICT by IANSRaipur, Sep 3 (IANS) Police in Raipur have arrested three contract killers, among them a 15-year-old boy, from here, police said Friday.
Three people, who were paid to kill a cable businessman Sandeep Singh, were arrested Thursday night with arms, said Ajatshatru Bahadur Singh, additional superintendent of police (crime) of Raipur.
Two of the arrested — Ravi Sarthi, 22, and a 15-year-old boy whose name has been withheld in compliance with the juvenile crime law — are from Raipur town while the third, Rajesh Dongre, hails from Rajnandgaon district.
“Since the kingpin behind the conspiracy has not yet been arrested, I cannot reveal much as it may hamper the progress of the case,” the police official said, adding that a few more are likely to be arrested soon.
