Three children drown while playing in pool
May 20th, 2011 - 7:57 pm ICT by IANSRatnagiri (Maharashtra), May 20 (IANS) Three children Friday drowned in a swimming pool while playing near it, police said.
The accident happened in Dapoli town, 50 km from here. The victims have been identified as Rutumbhara Kale (3), Vaibhav Pawar (4) and Vaishnavi Pawar (7).
“Two of the kids had come to their relative’s place for vacation. They, along with their relative’s daughter, went to play at a nearby swimming pool and drowned while playing,” an official from Dapoli police station told IANS.
The children were rushed to the government hospital, where they were declared brought dead.
