Three BSF troopers killed in road mishap in Tripura

Agartala, June 2 (IANS) At least three Border Security Force (BSF) troopers were killed and four injured in a road mishap in Tripura, the police said here Monday. A police spokesman said three BSF troopers died on the spot and four others were injured Sunday night when their vehicle collided with a speeding truck at Betaga, 113 km south of here.

The deceased Joy Kumar Malik, 28, belonged to Haryana, Jalandhar Kumar Tiwari, 22, hailed from Uttar Pradesh, and Joydeb Rudra Paul, 24, was a resident of Tripura.

The injured troopers were shifted to a hospital here.
