Three brothers sentenced to life for murder
March 30th, 2011 - 10:31 pm ICT by IANSLakhimpur Kheri (Uttar Pradesh) A court here Wednesday sentenced three brothers to life imprisonment in a decade-old murder case, police said.
The District and Sessions Court awarded life imprisonment to Mudit, Aditya and Jyoti for killing Manu over a family dispute.
The three had assaulted Manu in Kaimraha village of Fardhan town, police inspector M.P. Singh told reporters in Lakhimpur Kheri, some 150 km from Lucknow.
“The three brothers had assaulted Manu with wooden sticks and rods. He later sucummbed to his injuries. The court also imposed a penalty of Rs.10,000 each,” Singh added.
