Three arrested for stabbing teenager
April 20th, 2010 - 9:51 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, April 20 (IANS) Three people were arrested for robbing and stabbing to death a teenager Sunday, police said Tuesday.
Imran (20), Mukesh (22) and Akram (18) were arrested from Shashi Garden area near Pandav Nagar in east Delhi for robbing and stabbing Dheeraj (18).
Acoording to police, Dheeraj, accompanied by a female friend of his was sitting in a park when the trio tried to rob him. The girl ran away to safety but the robbers stabbed Dheeraj.
Having information that two of them had shaved their heads to avoid recognition, police kept a close watch on the movements of the suspects.
During interrogation, the trio accepted their crime and the robbed articles and knife used in the stabbing were recovered, police said.
