Three arrested for robbing, killing man
November 10th, 2011 - 12:52 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Nov 9 (IANS) Three men who murdered a restaurant employee after robbing him last week have been arrested, police said Wednesday.
Ehteshyamuddin, 19, Tarun, 21, Mohd. Irfan, 24 were arrested Monday on a tip off from Turkman Gate in central Delhi.
“On the night of Nov 5, the trio had murdered and robbed Chandan Gaur, 25 an employee of a restaurant in the area who was on his way to his home in Sitaram Bazar,” said an official. Gaur hailed from Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh.
Meanwhile, the trio’s fourth accomplice Mohd. Irshad who was present at the time of incident is still at large.
According to police, the accused had constituted the gang around six months ago and on the night of the incident they had intercepted Gaur with the intention to rob him but when he resisted, they stabbed him.
The police have recovered the robbed wallet, mobile phone and the knife used in the murder.
