Three arrested for dowry death
January 20th, 2012 - 10:45 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Jan 20 (IANS) Three people, including a woman, have been arrested for the causing the death of a 22-year-old woman after harassing her for dowry, police said Friday.
Rajender Kumar (56) and his son Jatin (29) were taken into custody Thursday night, said a police official. They were arrested from Rughbir Nagar in west Delhi.
The two reportedly caused the death of Jatin’s wife Ruchi (22), who was found hanging in the house.
The mother of the dead woman alleged that her daughter was harasseed for not bringing enough dowry. Jatin and Ruchi were married one and half year back. They had a five-month-old girl child.
