Three arrested for black-marketing IPL tickets
April 23rd, 2011 - 8:38 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, April 23 (IANS) Three men involved in black-marketing tickets of the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Delhi Daredevils and Kings XI Punjab here Saturday were arrested and 119 tickets recovered from them, police said.
Sushil Thukral, 26, was arrested from Paharganj area of central Delhi and 14 tickets were recovered from him. Sajid, 28, and Ladley, 19, were arrested from a petrol pump near the Ferozshah Kotla stadium and the 105 tickets were recovered from the duo. All the three were arrested Friday, police said.
“The gang used to send bulk SMSes which read as ‘IPL Great season of cricket. Few tickets available for Delhi Match on Saturday. First come first serve. Call- 99999770007′. Tickets costing Rs.750 and Rs.500 were being sold for Rs.1,400 and Rs.1,000, respectively,” said a police official.
