Three arrested for attack on Catholic priest
June 30th, 2010 - 12:24 pm ICT by IANSPatna, June 30 (IANS) Three people have been arrested in connection with an attack on a Catholic priest in a Bihar town, police said Wednesday.
Father Michael Ignatius was shot at late Monday near Nazarath Hospital at Mokama, about 100 km from here. He was shifted to the Kurji Holy Family Hospital here. His condition is stated to be out of danger.
“Three suspects have been arrested in this connection. We are interrogating them,” a police officer said.
This is not the first time when a Catholic priest has been attacked in Mokama. Nearly five years ago, Catholic priest Father Mathew Ujaytal was killed in an attack by an assailant.
